EQUESTRIAN SURFACING
At SOLID GROUND, our Equestrian Division of J. Nutter Co., we handle Equestrian Surfaces of ALL Types
Our approach is simple. When building any type of surface from scratch, we install a proper foundation and base for the final footing mixture to be applied to. Different base materials are available regionally throughout the country and are usually consistent from one area to another. The base and final layer of footing are equally important. Both perform different tasks while working synonymously towards the overall performance.
When renovating existing arena surfaces, the base is carefully evaluated and adjusted as needed. A majority of dust and consistency related issues arise from dated arena services where base material has become dry, brittle, and ultimately airborne from the footing itself. The surfaces become deeper as time goes on, and the base contributes more material to the surface. Ultimately, these situations require serious renovation. However, they are carefully remedied and can be restored with the proper approach and materials. We have the means, methods, and extensive experience in this area
